Targeted Nanoparticle Platforms for Precision Therapeutic Delivery

Our lab develops next-generation targeted nanoparticle platforms to selectively deliver therapeutic payloads to specific organs and cells via surface engineering of nanoparticles with multiple types of targeting ligands. The overarching goal is to enable novel therapeutic strategies capable of halting, ameliorating, or potentially reversing pathological conditions that are currently untreatable with existing methodologies. Our work spans emerging modalities including gene therapy with a strong emphasis on improving the pharmacokinetic profile of nanoparticle delivery. By increasing target specificity and reducing off-target accumulation, we aim to maximize therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity.
