Immunomodulatory Strategies for Refractory Diseases Treatment
A second major focus of the Parhiz lab is the development of immunomodulatory strategies intended to treat pathological conditions in which controlled immune reprogramming represents the most effective therapeutic option, such as in vivo CAR-T for fibrosis, autoimmune diseases, and cancer . We investigate approaches including targeted LNP-mRNA (tLNP-mRNA) that enable precise modulation of immune responses to resolve diseases that are currently untreatable, only partially treatable, or poorly accessible using conventional therapeutic paradigms. These efforts integrate delivery technologies, molecular design, and immune biology to achieve spatially and temporally controlled immune modulation with durable therapeutic outcomes.
